About Charlie's Pals
Hi, I’m Chiara, or 'Char' as my friends call me, and I’m the founder of Charlie’s Pals.
My intention is pretty simple; I want to help inspire and support young people to live a happy, fulfilling life that they love. One of the best ways young people can do this is through exercise and mindful movement. I’ve been passionate about exercising to feel good for nearly 15 years and I promise – I practice what I preach!
Charlie's Pals started in January 2019, less than a year after unexpectedly and devastatingly losing Charlie, my 16-year-old baby sister, due to combined drug toxicity (which is often confused with an accidental overdose) in May 2018.
Reality struck hard but it was then that I realised that I could make a real difference; I believe the key to good mental health and wellbeing is prevention. In my programs for children and young people, I focus on 'Feel Good' exercise – yoga, relaxation, mindful movement and techniques – skills they can learn now and carry with them for the rest of their life.
In my spare time, you’ll find me hanging out with my husband Bob, our beautiful daughters Pia and Billie and our cute dogs Murphy . I also enjoy running, listening to inspiring podcasts, catching up with friends and eating chocolate… because life’s too short not to do the things we enjoy!
I hope you can find something to help a young person you love, or yourself, at Charlie's Pals because sometimes a small change can have a huge impact.
If you have any questions about what we’re doing here, please be sure to get in touch!
